Node Connections

  • One core part of Campaign Audience Builder is the ability to access all data points for your segmentation, no matter how nested.

  • And to access nested data, we need to connect our nodes.

  • To link a node to other nodes, select a node by single-clicking it and then click the + Button.

  • This opens the Relationship Action Menu:

  • We have three different actions to connect our nodes:

    1. Parent Relationship - Access objects targeted via a lookup or master-detail relationship on your selected object.
    2. Related Records - Access objects with lookup or master-detail relationships, targeting the selected object.
    3. Aggregate - This is a special form of Related Records and allows you to do calculations on the fly, like the SUM of Opportunity:Amount > 10.000€.

Connector labels and quick edit

  • Connectors to related records carry a label that shows the relationship logic at first glance: With, Without, or Aggregated.
  • Hover a label and an edit button appears. Click it to open the quick edit menu.
  • There you can switch the filter setting between With and Without, and — as soon as a node has two or more related records — change the child filter logic between All Child Relationship Filter Conditions Are Met (AND) and Any Child Relationship Filter Condition Is Met (OR).
