Data Privacy: Sharing Settings

Introduction
Campaign Audience Builder comes with a basic sharing model:
- Private - Only the audience creator and users with "View All" permissions can see these audiences.
- Public - Every user with CAB permissions can see these audiences.
Setup Steps
After successfully installing the app, you can update the sharing settings so that private audiences won't be visible to other users.
1. Open the "Sharing Settings" Tab in the Salesforce Setup.
2. Click Edit to change the Organization-Wide Default Settings for the custom object Audience.
3. Change the Default Internal Access from Public Read/Write to Private and click Save.
4. Wait until the initiated sharing operation has finished (you receive a notification via email).
5. Create a new Audience Sharing Rule
Step 1: Rule Name
- Label = Public Audiences
- Rule Name = PublicAudiences
- Description: Optional
Step 2: Select your rule type
- Rule Type = Based on criteria
Step 3: Select which records to be shared
- Field = Sharing
- Operator = equals
- Value = Public
Step 4: Select the users to share with
- Share with: Public Groups = All Internal Users
Step 5: Select the level of access for the users
- Access Level: Read/Write
Finish Setup:
- Click Save
The standard Salesforce security mechanisms will protect your private audiences from other users.
